Gift card questions

How does the person spend it?

They choose their books, go to checkout and type the code in the gift card box. If the order costs more than the card, they pay the rest by card, transfer or USSD. Anything left on the card stays there for next time.

Does it expire?

No. A COAL Bookstore gift card never expires.

What if they don't get the email?

Ask them to check their spam folder. You also get a copy of the code, so you can pass it on yourself. If it's still lost, email store@coalng.org with your order reference.

What if a payment doesn't go through?

When someone uses a gift card and pays the rest with Paystack, we set the gift card amount aside while they pay. If they don't finish, it goes back on the card within 2 hours.

Can I check how much is left on a card?

Yes. Type the code in the gift card box at checkout and it shows the balance. You can also ask us.
